Hi! My name is Stefan Bloodworth, and I'm the owner and principal designer at S3 Design. I've been in the landscape design and construction field since 1995, when I started a small landscaping business to help support my young family. In 2002, I became the curator of the Blomquist Garden of Native Plants at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens. For sixteen years there I focused on designing and building landscapes using the palette of our southeastern native plant species. In 2018 I became the Executive Director of the Columbus Botanical Garden in Columbus, Georgia. I spent two years there managing the construction of an ambitious master plan featuring a diverse selection of native species found in the deep south. Throughout all these experiences, my fascination with landscape design never waned, and in 2021 I began a Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture at NC State University. I graduated in December 2023, and I'm now entirely focused on bringing my devotion to landscape design to clients in central North Carolina and beyond.
